
Research Associate Dr David Tucker is a landscape ecologist with a research and working background in terrestrial ecological surrogacy, biodiversity monitoring, conservation management, and ecoacoustics. He is responsible for monitoring the flora and fauna, including the recording of bioacoustic data, at the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network Peri-urban SuperSite, located at QUT’s Samford Ecological Research Facility (SERF) on the outskirts of Brisbane, and the Mitchell Grass Rangeland SuperSite in Longreach. David’s current research with the Sustainable Agroecosystems team focuses on the measurement and monitoring of biodiversity in grazed systems using novel acoustic technologies.
