The Northern Territory Inclusive Education and Allied Health Project aims to improve knowledge of and capability in inclusive education, foster interdisciplinary collaboration between teachers and allied health professionals, and contribute to meaningful inclusive education reform within the Northern Territory government education system.
During the project, the QUT team will undertake an evaluation of practice by:
conducting school observations,
measuring the impact of a bespoke program of professional learning for educators, school leaders, and allied health staff, and
measuring the impact of a professional learning community and targeted coaching with classroom teachers, focused on inclusive practice.
The research team will also collect and analyze data using pre- and post-surveys, case studies, and artifacts of practice from school visits. This approach will help us identify best practices and enhance the capabilities of educators and allied health professionals within their local contexts.
