Prue Miles is the QUT Relationship Manager and Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Education, School of Teacher Education and Leadership. She is also a Chief Investigator with QUT's Centre for Inclusive Education (C4IE) and an affiliated researcher with QUT's Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC). Prue's key current role is working with the new Fortitude Valley State Secondary College, all QUT faculties and external stakeholders to manage the collaboration and explore opportunities. She also teaches digital technologies units within the Education Faculty’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Her research strengths are in digital pedagogies, education partnerships, student engagement, educational technologies, media education, media literacy, innovative curriculum design, online learning and teaching resources, communities of practice, teacher education and professional learning for teachers.

Dr Prue Miles graduated with a PhD from QUT's Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC) in 2017. Capitalising on her extensive professional experience with Secondary Education in Queensland, Prue’s doctoral thesis examined teachers’ use of multiplatform educational screen content, including being based for half her candidacy at Australia’s SBS in Sydney. Since being awarded her PhD, Prue has been appointed Relationship Manager and Senior Lecturer in QUT’s Faculty of Education. In this role, Prue is working as QUT’s academic liaison for Brisbane’s new inner-city Fortitude Valley State Secondary College — the city’s first ‘vertical’ high school, opened in 2020.
