After graduating from a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Raymond Quan commenced his Masters research project with the Burns and Trauma group in December 2018. His research investigates the pathological processes within a burn wound that contribute to damage progression after burn injury. He aims to utilise a variety of histological stains to gain a comprehensive insight into the wound.
Raymond has presented his poster “Burn Wound Progression: A Histological Analysis of the Mechanisms Responsible” at the 2019 Australian and New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA) Annual Scientific Meeting in Hobart and at the 2019 Annual Children’s Health Precinct HDR Student Symposium, where he was a member of the Symposium Organising Committee as the only QUT representative.
