The team is looking for new research students in 2017 to undertake several different research projects. The main focus of the lab group is to conduct research which aims to improve the lives of children affected by burn injury through developing new therapies to enhance wound healing and reduce scarring and understanding how burn injuries occur and how to prevent them.
- Honours/Masters – An education campaign for preventing burn injuries Burns are common, although preventable injuries. Additionally, most people do not know the best first aid and medical treatment for burn injuries which will enable faster healing with less scarring. This project will utilise a smartphone/tablet app to deliver burn education information to people across Australia. Creative and attention-grabbing information will be developed and social media and gamification techniques will be employed to engage people with the material. Students who are creative, artistic and utilize social media are encouraged to apply. Please contact Dr Leila Cuttle for more information
