    Dr Simon Gatehouse has worked closely with the research group for a number of years. He has a special interest in spine deformity in children and adolescents and performs complex and innovative surgeries to improve their quality of life. In addition to a busy private practice, Dr Gatehouse remains committed to further research and education. In 2020 he was awarded a QUT Masters of Philosophy degree for his own Masters degree research thesis entitled, “Spinal deformity correlations with the use of EOS imaging in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients undertaking brace management”.

    Dr Gatehouse’s experience and expertise in the management of spine conditions and spine deformity and spine orthopaedic surgery ensures the BSRG’s activities are clinically relevant and that outcomes are directly translated into clinical practice for both paediatric and adult spine conditions.
