Our Computer Simulation Lab has provided a core research facility since the commencement of the group and is located at the Gardens Point Campus of QUT. Research in this lab centres around the custom-codes developed by the group, Dicomtilt and VirtuSpine™ for image pre-processing and finite element modelling of individual subject spinal anatomy. This software has been applied to study the adult spine and the paediatric deformed spine, to better understand the biomechanics of spinal deformity.
