CCHR Laboratory

Through the use of non-invasive and non-contact assessment techniques, our research at the CCHR laboratory is focused at advancing understanding of spinal biomechanics in spinal deformity patients as well as in healthy participants. Located at the Centre for Children’s Health Research, at the Qld Children’s Hospital, researchers work closely with clinical partners to create new methods for visualising and assessing spinal health for individual patients.

Multi-modal analysis of scoliosis sufferer anatomy and biomechanics

Capabilities offered at CCHR:

  • Pressure mapping
  • 3D surface scanning
  • 3D visualisation of clinical datasets
  • Medical imaging analysis
  • Complex anatomical reconstruction
