BSRG Somerville Interns present at CHQ Symposium

Picture of Somerville House Presentation

For the past 18 months, the BSRG have hosted two high school students from Somerville House as part of the Somerville House Science Internship program. This program presents our next generation of Women in STEM the opportunity to be investigators on research projects at CCHR.

As the girls now near the end of their placement with us, they presented their work in creating an educational app, iScoliosis, at the recent CHQ Research Symposium held at Qld Children’s Hospital. This application has been created and written entirely by the students, to provide educational information and support to young adolescents with spinal deformity.
