The entire BSRG team, including both research and clinical members were invited to attend the 2023 QUT Recognition Ceremony, held December 8, 2023. This ceremony is a celebration of the outstanding contributions of individual staff and teams. The BSRG team was recognised for receiving significant external recognition in 2023 when awarded the Children’s Health Queensland “Little Ideas, Big Difference” Award in August 2023. Individually Professor Geoff Askin was additionally recognised for his being awarded the prestigious ‘Children’s Health Queensland Medal of Distinction’ for his enduring and outstanding commitment to caring for Queensland children, and Associate Professor Paige Little for receiving a 2023 Wonderful Women of Waterford Award from Qld Attorney General, the Hon. Shannon Fentiman MP, for her outstanding and effective Mabel Park Mentorship Programme (ASPIRE).
