The Herston Biofabrication Institute at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in Brisbane hosted a 5 day intensive course in “Clinically Applied 3D Printing” from Feb 15-19, 2021. Associate Professor Paige Little from the QUT Biomechanics & Spine Research Group was one of only two invited speakers from QUT to present a session at this workshop. The course was organised by the Clinical Director of the Herston Biofabrication Institute, Dr Michael Wagels (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon).
The course focused on the latest clinical and engineering advances as well as providing hands-on time for participants to learn to segment medical images of bony structure and soft tissue, computer-aided design essentials and array of 3D printing techniques.
