Sealy PhD Student awarded Best Presentation at SSAV 2020

Lionel Rayward (& co-authors Little JP, Pivonka P, Kerr G, Pearcy MJ) was awarded the “Clayton Adam Award” by the Spine Society of Australia (SSA).  This award is presented annually at the SSA Scientific Meeting for the best paper presented by a junior research scientist. The presentation was entitled, “Application of 3D Modelling Techniques for Prediction of Deep Tissue Pressure Injuries interfacing the Coccyx and Sacrum” and was presented at the 2020 Virtual SSA Meeting held on November 13, 2020.  Lionel is a PhD student supervised by the above team and is the current holder of a PhD scholarship sponsored by Sealy of Australia.

The board of the Spine Society of Australia created the ‘Clayton Adam Award’ in 2018 to honour the BSRG team’s long standing Academic Research Director, A/Prof Clayton Adam.  We are so proud that a member of the BSRG team has won ‘our’ award.  The Clayton Adam Award is annually presented to the best paper presented at the annual Scientific Meeting by a junior research scientist.

Congratulations Lionel!
