Dr Madge Martin awarded Best PhD Thesis Prize

Dr Madge Martin has been awarded a prestigious ‘Best PhD Thesis’ prize from the Society of Biomechanics in France, for her thesis entitled “Bone remodeling and mechanomics: bridging organs, tissue and cell scales to understand bone structure and function.” Dr Martin performed this work as a joint PhD between the Queensland University of Technology (BSRG) in Brisbane (Australia) and the MSME (Multi-Scale Modeling and Simulation) laboratory at the University of Paris Est Créteil (UPEC) in France.  Dr Martin will present her work at the now online ’45th Congress of the Society of Biomechanics’ in Metz, October 26-28, 2020.

Her QUT BSRG Supervisors were Professor Peter Pivonka and Associate Professor Paige Little.
