The BSRG took on seven Vacation Research Experience Scheme (VRES) students over the summer break to work closely with our researchers. The seven students were selected to participate in the programme which gives undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in the QUT research environment for approximately 10 weeks to explore their own potential for research work, to contribute to a faculty research project and collaborate with active QUT researchers. The final assessment of the summer vacation programme was to present a final report in the form of a Poster at the QUT Science and Engineering VRES 2020 Showcase event. BSRG VRES student, Sarah Atkinson was awarded a Best Poster prize for her poster entitled, “Repeatability of the 3D surface scanning technique for the monitoring of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis”. Her supervisor was BSRG Research Fellow, Dr Caroline Grant.
