Australian New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society Conference

The Australian New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society (ANZORS) held their annual conference in Canberra 4-6 October. The ANZORS conference brings together researchers and clinicians across Australia and New Zealand to tackle challenges in musculoskeletal disorders, diseases, injuries and their management. This year also marked an important milestone, 25 years of ANZORS!

Our postdoctoral research fellow, Dr Edmund Pickering gave a podium presentation entitled, “Load sensitivity in the mouse tibia loading model: Insights through coupled experiments and modelling.”  Edmund’s research focuses on bone-adaptation, and how bone responds to load. By studying the mouse tibia, researchers can gain important insights into diseases like osteoporosis as well as how the body responds to implants.
