We are pleased to invite our new cohort to the BridgeTech Program’s 2023 Launch Event at Stryker’s Brisbane R&D Lab.
You’ll be welcomed to the BridgeTech Program by our Director, QUT’s Distinguished Prof Lyn Griffiths, followed by presentations from members of Stryker’s leadership team.
Our consortium partner representative and Stryker’s Research Development Manager, Dr Julia Hocking, will share the purpose and functions of the R&D facility. Stryker established the lab in 2021 at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the largest teaching hospital in the Southern Hemisphere, to drive innovation and transformation in medtech by leveraging partnerships within an open innovation ecosystem.
Keynote speaker and Stryker’s Commercial Director, Matt Malone, will discuss aspects of product development and commercialisation including the importance of early engagement with customers, the complex processes that a global organisation goes through to translate an idea into a product, and the importance of collaboration with partners.
