2022 WiT Awards Success

Last Friday night, I along with other representatives from the Faculty and the Vice Chancellor had the pleasure of attending the 2022 Women in Technology Awards gala dinner. These awards recognise the outstanding talents of women working in all fields of STEM and the significant contributions they make to research, policy, economic and social development. These awards are prestigious and very competitive.

Please join with me in congratulating the following Faculty of Science staff whose outstanding contributions were recognised with awards this year:

  • Professional Technology Leadership Award: Professor Peta Wyeth
  • Research Leader Science Award: Professor Kerrie Wilson
  • Technologist of the Year Award: Distinguished Professor Kerrie Mengersen

I would also like to recognise the other QUT staff and students who were finalists or winners in various other award categories. It was great to see so many colleagues recognised at the event.

Further information on all of the 2022 award finalists can be found on 2022 Award Finalists – Women in Technology (wit.org.au) and awards winners on 2022 Award Winners – Women in Technology (wit.org.au).

Kind regards,

Troy
