Risa completed her Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology (Honors) at Mahidol University (Thailand) in 2012. In the same year, she received a scholarship from the Royal Thai Government to pursue her Master Degree in Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology at Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand). In 2013, she spent a year working at the

Center for Crops Utilization Research, Iowa State University (USA) in a collaborative project with Direvo Biotechnology (Germany) and LincolnWay Energy (USA) to improve bioethanol production, corn oil recovery, and animal feed quality improvement. In 2015, she was awarded a UQ Scholarship for Doctor Degree at School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland (Australia), where her research focus on the biosynthesis of polymer from methane-utilizing mixed cultures. After the degree completion, she starts her position as a research fellow at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and her research focus on fermentation process development of probiotic and enzyme supplements for industrial applications.
