My PhD project is focused on clinical applications of 3D printing for use in urological surgery. My work is part of the Herston Biofabrication Institute, a collaboration between QUT and Metro North Hospital Health Service where I work part time as a urology clinician at Redcliffe Hospital. My work focuses on 3D printing for surgical planning of complex operations such as radical prostatectomy, creating improved testicular prostheses for cancer patients and creating better surgical instruments to help our patients.
