Background:
Medical engineering, biomedical science, cardiovascular in-vitro systems, 3D printing, 3D scanning.
Current Research:
My research project is investigating 3D bioprinting for regeneration of cartilage and bone. I will be looking at optimising the methods of 3D printing composite polymer and hydrogel structures that can be tailored for a specific tissue type and application. This work will include in vitro studies to quantify cell growth and shape-fidelity of the scaffold structures with a particular focus on auricular cartilage.
Interests:
Sustainable living, gardening, collecting vinyl, reading and camping.
