Mathilde Desselle completed a double Masters degree in bioengineering and business from the Catholic University of Lille, and a Masters of International Economics from the University of the Littoral Opal Coast (France 2008).


Mathilde is a project manager in Biofabrication, applying 3D technologies to medicine, and more specifically in the context of the creation of the Herston Biofabrication Institute. An award-winning biomedical research manager, she has 10 years’ experience driving research programs and facilities in Europe and Australia, and is passionate with finding technology-based approaches to advance human health.

Mathilde is a former Board Director for Women in Technology QLD and for the Tech Girls Movement Foundation, promoting positive role models to encourage and raise awareness of STEM careers for girls. She’s a co-founder of the Catch a Queensland Rising Star program, an ABC Radio Brisbane Community Correspondent for science and an Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion.
