Mathilde Desselle completed a double Masters Degree in Bioengineering and Business Management from the Catholic University of Lille, and a Masters of Management Sciences from the University of the Littoral Opal Coast (France 2008).


Mathilde is a project manager in Biofabrication, applying 3D technologies to medicine, and more specifically in the context of the creation of the Herston Biofabrication Institute. She also leads augmented and virtual reality projects.

An award-winning biomedical research manager, she has 10 years’ experience driving large scale research programs and facilities in Europe and Australia, and is passionate with finding technology-based approaches to advance human health.

Mathilde is a former Board Director for Women in Technology QLD and for the Tech Girls Movement Foundation, promoting positive role models to encourage and raise awareness of STEM careers for girls. She’s a co-founder of the Catch a Queensland Rising Star program, an ABC Radio Brisbane Community Correspondent for science and an Advance Queensland Community Digital Champion.
