Background:
Physics, Computer Science.
Current Project:
Current research goals involve the development of simplified, organic transistors to use as miniature and fast-acting biosensor devices. By leveraging highly selective materials and efficient organic semiconductor designs, the aim is to develop portable lab-on-chip type devices capable of detecting low concentration biomarkers in small samples with sufficient signal strength to be measured and read from small integrated circuits. The incorporation of biocompatible materials operating under low voltages allows these devices to be generalised to the healthcare and agriculture industries for point-of-care testing with a much faster response time than conventional analytical methods.
Other Interests:
Electronics and microcontrollers, code optimisation, powerlifting.
