Our Research
The team is working on a wide and diverse range of bioelectronics & biosensors projects, including:
- Novel designs for organic transistors
- Synthetic protein biosensors & aptamers
- Electrode interfaces for integrating biological elements to electronic components
- Solid state organic transistor biosensors
Research Opportunities
We welcome enquiries from potential Honours and postgraduate (MPhil and PhD) students interested in pursuing research in bioelectronics & biosensors at QUT.
For more details, please contact A/Prof Soniya Yambem.
Research Experience Scheme
We offer undergraduate students an opportunity to participate in our research projects every year. This provides excellent development opportunities to transition to HDR study. Successful applicants will become part of the group and engage in all activities of the group. They will get an opportunity for hands-on experience with the experts in the team and the research facilities. To be eligible to apply for the scheme you must have completed at least 96 credit points of undergraduate study at QUT. For more details, please contact A/Prof Soniya Yambem or visit the VRES Information Site (summer vacation) or MY-RES Information Site (mid-year vacation).
