Thesis topic
“Revisiting SWB and Health Behaviour, the case for Australian Women”
Thesis project
I study women’s health behaviour (smoking, alcohol consumption, diet and exercise frequency, and sleep quantity), mental health, and subjective wellbeing. If I were to describe my thesis as a musician it would be a cross between Alanis Morrisette and Louis Armstrong. There are two main studies to my thesis, the first uses the HILDA data to explore a five-year relationship between health behaviour and subjective wellbeing. The second considers the capability approach to wellbeing and investigates the relationship between coping, types of value (utility), and health behaviours.
