Annita has extensive experience in the management of major research initiatives, bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines, government stakeholders and industry partners, to maximize the impact of university research. With a background in intellectual property and the life sciences, Annita’s previous roles include Manager, Innovation and Commercial Development at the University of Queensland’s Queensland Brain Institute, and Chief Operating Officer for the ARC Science of Learning Research Centre. Committed to the translation of research outcomes, in the later role Annita initiated the establishment of the Centre’s research translation arm, with a focus on translating the Centre’s research findings into actionable, sustainable and scalable outcomes.
