Dr Aimee Riedel joined the University of the Sunshine Coast in the role of Lecturer in Marketing (Moreton Bay) in July 2019. Aimee completed her PhD (Marketing) at QUT in 2018. Dr Aimee Riedel specialises in the fields of consumers experiencing vulnerabilities, digital marketing and communication strategies. Her research has been published in high quality journals in the marketing field including Journal of Services Theory and Practice, Journal of Services Marketing and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services.

Dr Aimee Riedel has significantly contributed to her field as evidenced through her recent publication in Journal of Services Marketing, which developed a concise definition of Consumers Experiencing Vulnerabilities and reviewed the state of play of this concept in the literature, identifying key areas for future research.

Dr Aimee Riedel has experience leading research projects including an Advance Queensland Industry Experience Project throughout her PhD candidature where she achieved key outcomes such as industry reports and high ranked publications.

Aimee has collaborated with BEST on the Applying a Transformative Research Lens to Understanding Recreational Drug Use Among Young Adults project with Associate Professor Amanda Beatson and Professor Byron Keating
