Course on Household Economics, Domestic Violence, and the Law
by Professor Shoshana Grossbard
The AGEW 2020 Organising Committee grateful to be able to count on Griffith University and ESA Queensland’s Sponsorship of this unique training opportunity taking place on the two days preceding the workshop.
Professor Shoshana Grossbard is the founding and current editor of the Review of the Economics of the Household (REHO), the President and Founder of the Society of Economics of the Household (SEHO) and a leading scholar in the economics of the household. She has published extensively in this field, as well as in other related fields, such as demographic economics, in top peer reviewed journals and has written two solo-authored books on the economics of marriage. Shoshana will be teaching a Course on the Household Economics, Domestic Violence and the Law and will deliver one of AGEW 2020 keynote presentations.
Registrations for the course will open around mid-November. We strongly encourage RHD students and ECRs interested in this training opportunity to submit their work to AGEW 2020 if they had gender-related research outputs. You will have an opportunity to indicate your interest in registering for the course on the paper/extended abstract submission form.
The AGEW 2020 Organising Committee strongly encourages students and ECRs to explore funding opportunities with their direct supervisors and Heads of School. Please note that a limited budget to support financially constrained workshop presenters is available and we will do our best to support as many presenters as feasible.
