What is Nudgeathon?
Nudgeathon is a behavioural change competition, in which students develop solutions to real-life social issues.
The centre for Behavioural Economics, Society & Technology (BEST) in collaboration with the Behavioural Economics Team of the Australian Government (BETA) in the Office of Prime Minister and Cabinet bringing the third annual Nudgeathon back to Brisbane in Sept 2019!!
We invite teams of 4 students, undergraduate and/or postgraduate, as well as teams from government departments and agencies and the private sector from all across Australia and New Zealand to compete in a two and a half-day Nudgeathon to be held at Queensland University of Technology.
Using principles of behavioural science, 20 teams of 4 students will work on a problem brief and present their solutions to a panel of expert judges from academia, government and industry. Winners will be announced on day three. The winning proposal will be presented to government with the goal of being implemented either at a Commonwealth or State level.
We are very proud to announce this year’s topic sponsor will be the Queensland Office of the Deputy Director-General Justice Services, Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
