The talk gives an overview of the university types in German-speaking countries, the types of academic positions existing, e.g. at post-doc level, the requirements for these positions, where open jobs are advertised, as well as some general information regarding other European countries.
Dominik is a Professor for Marketing at Lucerne Business School, Switzerland. His research fields are customer relationship management, services marketing and sharing economy. Sharing Smart Cities is a recent research initiative. He has published in journals such as Journal of Business Research and Journal of Service Management and is co-author of the textbook “Services Marketing: The Service Value Chain” (Pearson Education). Recently, he has focused strongly on applied research in grant-funded research projects with corporations, such as Swisscom or Samsung, cities, such as the city of St. Gallen, as well as startups, such as Sharely.ch or Yapeal. He also is a co-founder of Customer Metrics AG, a spinoff of Lucerne Business School with its tools Customer Centricity Score (CC-Score) and Customer Impact Score (CI-Score).
