BEST, alongside the ARC Training Centre for Behavioural Insights for Technology Adoption (BITA), and QUT, are excited to host the 2023 Healthcare Innovation and Behavioural Economics Breakfast. The breakfast will showcase some of the innovative behavioural economics research the BEST Centre is currently doing in the fields of Biomaterials, Surgery, Triage, Breast Cancer, Indigenous Health, and Palliative Care, to name a few.
It will also be a wonderful networking opportunity, bringing together key stakeholders from Queensland Health, and a broad range of industry partners based not just in Brisbane, but across Australia and internationally.

About the Speakers:
Distinguished Professor Ross Crawford: Professor Crawford is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in lower limb joint replacement. His principal interests are hip and knee replacement and robotic surgery. Professor Crawford is an internationally recognized expert in the field of hip and knee replacement surgery. He performs approximately 150 hip and 150 knee replacements per year, both in public and private practice. He lectures and teaches surgical techniques both nationally and international. As well as running a clinical practice Professor Crawford has a chair of orthopaedic research at the Queensland University of Technology. In this role he supervises PhD students a number of post-doctoral researchers and collaborates closely with experts in the fields of medical robotics, tissue engineering, osteoarthritis, and clinical orthopaedics.
