Partners

The AMDTR group has many previous and on-going collaborations with university, government and industry stakeholders. These partners include both Australian and  international institutes that are working together to improve the reliability and efficiency of materials usage in a variety of sectors and in a range of environments.

Flinders University – The AMDTR group and Flinders University collaborate on the concentrated solarthermal research project, and they are also a research partner affiliated with ASTRI. With an extensive collection of microscopy and spectroscopy equipment, Flinders University have a diverse array of post-test analysis capabilities.

University of South Australia – The AMDTR group and the Australian National University collaborate on the concentrated solarthermal research project, and they are also a research partner affiliated with ASTRI. UniSA have high temperature testing capabilities for doing long term exposure tests.

Australian National University – The AMDTR group and the Australian National University collaborate on the concentrated solarthermal research project, and they are also a research partner affiliated with ASTRI. ANU conducts research of liquid sodium as a heat transfer fluid, and are one of the few institutions globally that operate a sodium test flow loop.

The University of Queensland – The AMDTR group and the Australian National University collaborate on the concentrated solarthermal research project.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory – NREL is based in the USA and currently collaborates with the AMDTR group to conduct materials investigations for the next generation of CSP plants in America.

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation – CSIRO is an Australian Government agency that conducts scientific research, and are responsible for many notable inventions and breakthroughs. The AMDTR group and CSIRO collaborate in the CSP research area.

Vast Solar – An Australian company that has developed world-leading solar thermal storage technology, delivering low-cost renewable energy that is reliable, controllable and dispatchable. Vast Solar and the AMDTR group currently collaborate in materials testing to aid in the development of new CSP components.
