William is a Machine Learning Engineer at QUT’s GenAI Lab and an affiliate investigator at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society. He is a data scientist with several years of industry experience in the government sector, focusing predominantly on deep learning and natural language processing. His previous work involved the maintenance of multi-modal deep learning pipelines, training and deploying multiclass classifiers, and building proof-of-concept products around semantic search and retrieval-augmented LLMs.
William has a Bachelor of Arts and Science from the Australian National University, as well as a Master of Film and Television (Documentary) at the Victorian College of Arts.
