  • assisted reproductive technology and embryo selection technologies
  • surrogacy
  • abortion
  • disability discrimination against children in education
  • conception, pregnancy and birth
  • ethics and regulation of embryonic stem cell research
  • end of life issues for infants and children
  • consent to treatment
  • tissue transplantation and organ donation
  • gender dysphoria
  • cultural violence against children, especially female genital cutting, and other sexual violence.


Our members collaborate and engage with a range of industry, professional groups, government bodies and organisations in Australia and internationally, including:

  • World Health Organization
  • Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse
  • Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital
  • Australian Government, and state and territory governments
