LABii

The Longitudinal Australian Business Integrated Intelligence (LABii) was developed by Moyle, Pandey and Stern (2018) for the purpose of constructing entrepreneurial quality index (EQI) modelling to inform Queensland’s strategy for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (MIT REAP).

LABii is comprised of separate public and non-public datasets like Australian Business Register, Intellectual Properties Australia (register on patents, trademarks, design, and plant-breeder), exports database, and listings of Australian Stock Exchange. LABii is longitudinal and has business entries since 1999, when the GST was introduced.  The primary dataset is the Australian Business Register (ABR), supplied by the Australian Tax Office (ATO).

The LABii team comprises: Dr Char-lee Moyle (Team Lead), Mr Vibhor Pandey and Mr Chad Renando
