Dr Rio Rodrigues is an Associate Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology – School of Management. Rio has a widespread international experience, working and living in countries such as Portugal, England, Germany, Singapore, and Australia. Professionally, he led both profit and non-profit organisations. His research approach focusses on ecological approaches to psychology, expertise, performance, and educational business models that can facilitate innovation and the entrepreneurship capacity of individuals and organisations.
Since entrepreneurship usually occurs in complex and dynamic environments, Rio’s approach to research can help ACE to expand the understanding of entrepreneurial activity, both, at domestic and international levels. For instance, by applying an ecological lens and concepts, such as affordances and constraints, new knowledge can be created about how environmental, task, and individual factors may interact and influence entrepreneurship activity.
