Mehrzad Saeedikiya is a Ph.D. Scholar at the QUT Business School and the recipient of two scholarships from QUT and the Centre for Future Enterprise.
Mehrzad graduated from the University of Milan and has held teaching and research positions at Tsinghua University, Bologna University, UAB Barcelona, University of Tehran and the University of Milan. As an experienced lecturer, his more than 7 years of teaching experience in different countries and business schools (including QUT business school and school of information systems), has equipped him with a great inter-cultural intelligence. Thanks to QUT’s academic leadership in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation domain, Mehrzad looks for opportunities to learn and research in this area.
Research: Mehrzad’s research at QUT connects the ongoing conversation in Information Systems (IS) and Entrepreneurship domains regarding the interplay of digital transformation and innovation. In his research, Mehrzad considers how dynamic capabilities emerge, interact with other firm capabilities, and translate to the companies’ innovative performance. His dissertation is centered around the Role of Digital Transformation in Innovation Based Competitive Strategy of the Firm and Its Performance. At the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research, Mehrzad has served in various capacities, including research assistant, managing the centre’s flagship conference ACERE in 2024, and coordinating international visits to the centre.
