Several key Queensland organisations form a part of Team Queensland, who have participated in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (MIT REAP). This project, led by the Queensland University of Technology and being undertaken in collaboration with the Queensland Government, RedEye Apps, BlueSky Ventures and Rio Tinto, offers an unique and exciting opportunity to directly engage with Queensland entrepreneurial ecosystem to shape policies and programs that will accelerate regional entrepreneurship. MIT REAP provides opportunities for communities around the world to engage with MIT in an evidence-based, practical approach to strengthen innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystems. Team Queensland successfully secured the hosting of MIT REAP Workshop 3 which was held in January 2019 in Brisbane and released its final report ‘Queensland Connects’ in July 2019. Professor Martin Obschonka is the International Faculty Fellow and Dr Char-lee Moyle is the Data Rockstar for the team.
