On July 11, 2024, a delegation from Sichuan University West China Hospital, led by Vice President Huang Jin, visited the Australia-China Centre for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (ACCTERM) and Cardiovascular Technology Laboratory at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
The delegation, comprising 21 members, was warmly welcomed by Prof. Charlotte Allen, Dr. Minghao Liu, Rosa Armitage, Archie Lightbody-Gee, Tiago Guerzet Sardenberg Lima, Mingyang Yuan, and Haotong Xu. They were given a tour of the ACCTERM laboratories and the Central Analytical Research Facility (CARF).
Following the tour, discussions ensued between the representatives of Sichuan University West China Hospital and QUT, including Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yuantong Gu, ACCTERM Director Prof. Zhiyong Li, and ACCTERM Founder Prof. Yin Xiao. The dialogue focused on fostering academic cooperation and exchange, culminating in a preliminary agreement to collaborate in the future.
The visit marked an important step towards strengthening ties between the healthcare and research communities between QUT and Sichuan University West China Hospital, promising advancements in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine through collaborative efforts.
