QUT-SICCAS Workshop Nov. 2018 at Brisbane, QUT
On 20th, Nov, QUT-SICCAS Workshop was held by CPME school, QUT at OJW room, GP campus to broaden the current collaboration, developing from tissue engineering and regenerative medicine via ACCTERM to smart materials, energy materials , computational material science and nano devices, etc. Delegation from Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS) and Representatives from QUT present on a series of topics. SICCAS is one of the earliest ACCTERM Partners since the year 2013.
Collaboration between SICCAS and QUT began in 2009 and SICCAS is one of the key partners of ACCTERM. The QUT-SICCAS Joint Laboratory of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering was established in 2016. Under the leadership of Prof. Yin Xiao, Prof. Jiang Chang and Prof. Chengtie Wu , they have been successfully granted Queensland-Chinese Academy of Sciences (Q-CAS) Collaborative Science Fund, International Program of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, and co-published more than 60 journal papers on Mater. Today, ACS Nano, Adv. Funct. Mater., Biomaterials, etc and 7 chapter/books. There are 8 PhD students under joint supervision of QUT and SICCAS. They are looking forward to expand and strengthen the connection in the near future.
