The 7th ACCTERM Research Forum will bring together leading researchers from Australia and China to share emerging research findings, strengthen research links, and develop collaborative research projects.

ACCTERM Research Forum 2019-Recap


The 7th Australia-China Centre for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (ACCTERM) Research Forum was held on 22-24 November 2019 at Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS), Shanghai, China. This Forum was hosted by SICCAS and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and co-hosted by East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital-Shanghai JiaoTong University (SJTU). Since the establishment of ACCTERM in 2013, the annual Research Forum has provided opportunities for scientists to share their latest research findings and build valuable collaborations in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.


Welcome Address


This year’s Forum has attracted many researchers from QUT, the University of Western Australia (UWA), SICCAS, ECUST, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital-SJTU, Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Beijing University of Technology, Tsinghua University, Institute of Mechanics-CAS, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, South China University of Technology, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology-CAS, Soochow University, the Third Military Medical University, Nantong University, Wuhan Institute of Virology, the University of Hong Kong, GeSiM, and Imperial College London. Throughout the two-day Forum, researchers, practitioners, and decision makers discussed a wide range of topics covering collaborative research projects, staff and student exchange, joint degree opportunities and grant applications.


Presentation, Discussion and Communication


This year, postgraduate students poster competition was held during the ACCTERM Forum. Students from Institutes and Universities in both Australia and China presented their work on dentistry, bone and cartilage tissue engineering, biomaterials and wound healing. Awards were presented at the forum dinner. Congratulations to Mrs Greeshma Ratheesh who won the first prize, and all the other winners of the poster competition!
