2020 HDR Colloquium

2020 HDR Colloquium

Accounting for Social Change HDRs participated in the 2020 School of Accountancy HDR student colloquium on October 28.  Presentations included the more traditional conference style presentation, research posters, and the exciting and challenging three minute thesis format. Participants shared their knowledge on a broad range of HDR topics such as  modern slavery disclosure, Co-operatives National Law in Australia, the role of a valuation specialist in auditing fair value measurement, chair leadership and its moderating effects on pluralistic ignorance and faultlines,  understanding Australia’s two strike rule as a regulatory instrument, diversity on corporate boards of ASX listed companies, digital economy taxation using the concept of user participation, the impact of environmental performance and proactivity on firms’ stock illiquidity, board social capital and foreign institutional investment in China, and cultural diversity and indigenous participation on Australian corporate boards. Congratulations to Professor Ellie Chapple, Professor Kerrie Sadiq, Dr Elisabeth Sinnewe and Dr Sarah Osborne, who supervised students that won awards on the day.
