What makes an excellent teacher?

The AA Project builds on previous research conducted by Professor Linda Graham, Ms Haley Tancredi, and colleagues, in QLD secondary schools. In this project, 50 high school students with learning and behavioural difficulties from Grades 7-10 were asked “What makes an excellent teacher?” The study, published in Frontiers in Education, builds on research that measures quality teaching practices. One important finding is that students with learning and behavioural difficulties do not have additional needs; they just need quality teaching to be accessible. You can read more about the study through the AARE BlogThe West Australian, and Scimex.
